Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting management in the supervision, daily planning, temporary structure design, and construction of unique and challenging bridge and/or heavy civil projects. This person will be responsible for reviewing and understanding contract specifications and drawings for designated projects. He/she will also assist in approving shop drawings, Quality Control Plans, Safety Plans and applicable Life and Work Plans to assure work is being accomplished to contract requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and monitoring transmittal logs for the project.
- Coordinate with all contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely submittal of permanent materials.
- Review pre-bid quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to confirm correct material is received.
- Maintain progress payments documentation for subcontractors, major material suppliers and the Owner.
- Work with Project Engineer to develop and monitor RFIs.
- Maintain up-to-date set of contract specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate all revisions with field personnel, subs and suppliers.
- Develop, update and maintain project schedule.
- Develop lift plans and work plans with applicable team members and work closely with crews to assure work proceeds in accordance with the approved plan.
- Work closely with Safety Supervisor to assure AHA’s (Activity Hazard Analysis) are correct for specific operations.
- Receive and inspect all permanent materials for contract compliance.
- Perform, assist or oversee project surveying as required. Perform and assist with Quality Control inspections.

- Excellent grammar, composition and verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Must have 7-10 years of experience working in the construction industry and want a challenging career in heavy civil and bridge construction on a national basis.
- General knowledge of the A/E/C industry.
