Job Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced, multi-tasking-friendly Industrial Engineer to take the management reins of our plant’s facility infrastructures and building systems in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving improved cost effectiveness and productivity by devising, and then implementing, changes that will grow the performances of both systems and people, and boost labor utilization while maintaining safety and customer service standards. You’ll also supervise and direct other engineers in performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, repairs, and maintenance duties in support of the plant. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision for the implementation of all preventative maintenance and repair operations, ensuring that building systems and facility infrastructures operate in the most efficient and effective manner, especially as it relates to utility consumption and environmental responsibility.
  • Offer technical advice, encouragement, and instruction to subordinates in such areas as mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and safety procedures.
  • Perform equipment inspections, noting equipment condition, insuring that proper maintenance is being performed in accordance with AES standards.
  • Provide expert knowledge and advice in regards to the location and function of building life safety systems, including controls panels, smoke/duct detectors, sprinkler systems, pull stations, strobe lights, horns, and fire doors.
  • Ensure that general safety and fire prevention regulations are enforced, and safe working habits are promoted throughout the facility.
  • Lead safety training initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety indoctrination training and continuing safety training, and implement a quality assurance program for all work performed by the department.
  • Establish plans for improving departmental work, emphasizing efficiency and economy.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable complexity and draw valid conclusions
  • Skilled in managing complex engineering projects
  • Ability to develop/maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Required:

  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering or a related scientific field
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering
