The Maintenance Technician serves as a frontline technical resource for the Customer, and Maintenance Department. Technician is responsible for both Preventative (PM), and Reactive Maintenance in the effort to sustain Reliability Centered Maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safe work practices/regulations, and participate in Safety training activities.
- Attend Quality training, and is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of quality in effort to be a defect-free packaging facility
- Undergo progress evaluation in which “Knowledge” and “Performance” are assessed
- Perform unplanned, planned, and scheduled maintenance tasks on a daily basis utilizing basic electrical or mechanical skills
- Perform periodic equipment inspection and monitoring,
- Actively participate in rebuilds/overhauls
- Contribute to standardization and process implementation,
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair any PLC ladder logic issue including documentation is a plus.
- Maintains accurate and legible documentation of work effort.
- Able to bring any plant machine back to OEM condition.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ verifiable industrial experience.
- Safely use basic hand and power tools.
- Uses Maintenance Connection, or similar CMMS system to track all work orders.
- Maintains tools and work area in a manner consistent with the 6S guidelines.
- Able to calibrate any of the plant equipment or components.
- Contributes to the betterment of PM program with comments and suggestions as needed.
- Takes ownership of his/her line and assigned work area.
