Senior Account Analysis-International Job Description Template

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Senior Account Analyst to join our dynamic, success-driven, rapidly expanding Accounting team. In this role, you’ll focus on the preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations of intercompany accounts; monthly financial statements analysis, with a focus on foreign exchange impact; and daily management of intercompany transactions. You’ll also provide support as needed to the Financial Reporting team during the internal and external audit processes. In addition, the Senior Account Analyst will help to provide continuous process improvement in coordination with other business units, creating necessary documentation when needed. This position reports into the Director of Accounting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate with international accounting groups and the Department of Treasury for proper and timely recordation of intercompany transactions.
  • Research, prepare, and maintain monthly Intercompany and Foreign Exchange analysis and commentary as appropriate.
  • Prepare support data and analyses for financial reporting requirements and corporate communications needs, including but not limited to: schedules, reconciliations, footnotes, board books, earnings calls, and analyst requests.
  • Develop and prepare various models and reports to be used as tools for managing and analyzing the impact of foreign exchange fluctuation and activities on business operations.
  • Perform any other projects assigned by the Director of Accounting and/or VP of Accounting on an as-needed basis.
  • Prepare and review schedules and reports for internal users and external auditors, and assist in the audit of financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Comply with and enhance the company’s existing SOX and internal control processes.
  • Assist in preparation of cash flow as part of the SEC financial reporting requirements.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • CPA license and understanding of Foreign Exchange guidance
  • Familiarity with ERP systems

Required:

  • BS or BA in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Excellent financial modeling skills and a high-level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
