The Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) is a division of the Department of Labor’s Employment Standards Administration and is tasked with enforcing three directives. These are: the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act, Executive Order No. 11246 and the Rehabilitation Act. In order to ensure that these laws are followed, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) makes use of judicial and administrative procedures, complaint investigations and compliance reviews. Similar employee satisfaction and protection measures can be found in many businesses within the private sector. In both cases, employers do what they can to make sure that their workers are treated fairly and within their legal rights.
